Privacy Policy

SlickShot is a screenshot studio that runs on your Mac or Windows PC. We designed it to keep your captures on your device and to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Your screenshots stay on your device
Screenshots, recordings, clipboard history, and annotations are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not upload, view, or store the contents of your captures on our servers. OCR (text detection) also runs on-device.
What we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we use AWS Cognito to manage sign-in. We store your email address and a stable account identifier.
- Device information. To enforce plan device limits and keep your account secure, we store a per-machine identifier and basic device details: hostname, operating system version, architecture, and the SlickShot version you’re running.
- Subscription status. If you upgrade, our payment processor handles your billing details; we store only your plan and entitlement status, never your card number.
How we use it
- To provide the app, sign you in, and apply your plan’s entitlements.
- To enforce per-account device limits and protect against abuse.
- To respond when you contact us for support.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your captures for advertising.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of service providers to run SlickShot — including AWS Cognito for authentication and a payment processor for subscriptions. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service.
Data retention
We keep account and device records for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove the associated account and device records. Locally stored captures are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app.
Your choices
- You can remove registered devices and delete your account at any time.
- You can request a copy of, or deletion of, the personal data we hold about you.
